Two Break and Enters
in Rainy River
The Rainy River Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is looking for assistance from the public concerning two residential break and enters reported on January 18th, 2008. The first break and enter occurred on the 300 block of Atwood Avenue. When the owner returned home, he found that a door to his garage had been forced open. The owner told police that he is missing a pry bar with an orange handle from his garage. The second break and enter occurred at Susan’s Corner Store at 302 Fourth Street in Rainy River. Culprit(s) gained entry to the store by prying open the east rear sliding warehouse door. The person responsible for the break and enter stole several energy drinks and several packages of cigarettes.

Fort Frances OPP Seek Assistance from Public
The Fort Frances OPP officers are investigating a hit and run collision that occurred on Nelson Street in Fort Frances. On January 18th, 2008, the owner of a red Dodge Caravan noticed that someone had collided with his vehicle causing over $1000 damage. The person responsible did not leave any information for the van owner nor did they report the damage to police.
On January 18th, 2008 the Emo OPP officers investigated a theft of a black single axle utility trailer from Pinewood Sports. The trailer is valued at approximately $1800.00.
