O.P.P. warn of counterfeit bills

The Fort Frances OPP has been notified there may be an increase of counterfeit bills in our region. The Thunder Bay Police Service Economic Crime Unit has identified a number of counterfeit $20 and $5 bills that at first glance appear legitimate. A closer inspection of the currency will reveal the imperfections so it is imperative local retailers be cognizant of the fakes. The following serial numbers have been identified as possible forgeries.
