Area chambers of commerce looking for Volunteers of the Year

The Rainy River Chamber met on March 3, 2008 with eight members present.
The upcoming RR Trade Show was discussed – the Brochures for the Trade Show are ready to mail out – this has registration information for any business wishing to participate – the Trade Show Committee is working hard to expand the Show this year – Chairperson for the Trade Show is Don Ricci – feel free to contact him.
The Annual Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the RR REC Centre- The RR Toy Library as well as the Rec Committee are helping with this event – Kristine Brown is Chairing this event – and is looking for volunteers you can contact her at 852-3186.
Colleen Venncchenko President of the Emo Chamber did a presentation on the Volunteer of the Year Award – any organization can nominate up to six adults and one youth for this award – the Awards night will be held in Fort Frances on May 13, 2008. If any one is interested in these awards or needs a nomination form please contact Melanie Murray at 852-3308.
There was some discussion on how the District Chambers can work to-gether on various projects.
Next Meeting will be on Monday, April 7, 2008 at 6:00 p.m at Wood’s Bakery in Rainy River. Come out and support your Chamber!
