Yard sale planned for May 3rd

The McInnes Chapel Board Meeting was held on Sunday, March 30th with 14 members present. The group enjoyed the warmth inside the home of Bev and Bill Langner, well out of the blustery blowing winds of the day.

Following the Secretary’s report by Carol Jenson, and the Treasurer’s report by Vivian Locking, we proceeded with the business at hand.
The date for our annual Yard Sale and Auction at the Chapel was set for Sat., May 3rd, 2008. Ann Van Leuwan volunteered to open the Chapel at 8:00 a.m. for the early birds, with coffee and muffins being sold for a dollar. At noon hot dogs, and other snacks with be available for sale, along with “fill a bag for a buck” followed by the Auction. (Any donations for the McInnes Chapel would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Susan Douglas at 852-1937 or any Board member.) Bev Langner read a poem entitled “Inches” which contained words of wisdom and food for thought. A get well card was signed for Stella Jenson and a birthday card for Clarence Lunyk.

Our meeting ended with prayer, pot luck lunch , and the enjoyment of watching three young deer at the bird feeder.
