Are your kids ready for summer? Are they acting like kids? Then get them acting at the sixth annual summer visit of Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre from June 23-28 featuring “Pinocchio”.
All persons ages 7 and above are invited to participate in this free week of dance, singing, and fun at Lake of the Woods School. Pequana Playhouse hosts the visit of Prairie Fire, a professional touring theatre company that produces and performs shows in just one week. Their adaptation of “Pinocchio” is an original musical guaranteed to bring as many laughs to the actors as to the audience.
Auditions are Monday, June 23rd at 8:00AM in the LOW school auditorium. All interested persons ages 7 and above whom audition will receive roles. No experience necessary. Rehearsals will be Monday through Thursday from 8:00AM to 12:15PM and Friday from 2:00PM-7:00PM. Attendance is required at ALL rehearsals! Performances will be Friday, June 27th at 7:00PM and Saturday, June 28th at 2:00PM. Participation is free but admission will be charged for performances.
Also, a FREE workshop of comedy and improvisation will be offered Wednesday June 25th at 6:00PM in the LOW school commons. All are invited to join in this “laugh-in”.
This residency is made possible in part with a grant from the Region 2 Arts Council through funding from the Minnesota State Legislature. For more information contact Ann Patten at 634-9424 or Vicki Goble at 634-1177.
