Man caught in RRHS B&E

On April 19, 2008 Rainy River OPP officers responded to the Rainy River High School after a report of an intoxicated male refusing to leave the premise. At approximately 6:30 a.m., teachers and parents supervising the 30-hour Famine Event were confronted by a male person wanting to come into the school. The male person was refused entry and advised to leave the school property. The male person did leave the school premise but later returned and gained entry into the school by breaking a glass door on the east entrance. Police were immediately called and responded.
Dennis Richard Copenace Jr., age 21 years of Big Island First Nations Territory was arrested and taken into police custody. He has been charged with Break and Enter to the Rainy River High School and Breach of his Recognizance Order. Mr. Copenace is currently in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
