McInnes Creek Chapel gets a spring cleaning

A breezy yet sunny day, Tues. May 22nd, saw eleven ambitious workers gather at McInnes Creek Chapel for the annual spring clean up. Teams were quickly organized with Team A (Vivian, Anne V., Carol J., and Gordie D.) taking on the cleanup and shampooing inside the Chapel, Squad B ( Bob L, Mark D, Victor J., and Lesley J.) worked in the yard on carpentry while Crew B (Susan D., and Bev and Bill L.,) vigorously raked and cleaned debris from the grounds. After a few hours of labour we joined together for a delicious BBQ luncheon. Birthday cards for next month were signed for Nick Jenson, and John and Mary Sanderson. As the May birthday cake was cut the group broke into chorus singing Happy Birthday to Vivian Locking. A short meeting followed with a recap of the Yard Sale and Auction. A new wheelbarrow was purchased for the Chapel as well as much needed supplies. Discussion followed regarding the upkeep of the grounds. A decision was reached to purchase a new large tarp. A thank you card was read from the family of Fab LaCroix.
Our next meeting is June 29th at the Chapel.
