Alphonse Langlais named Dawson's Senior of the Year

Long time Pinewood Resident Alphonse Langlais was named Senior of the Year for 2008 for the Township of Dawson.
Dawson Town Council nominated him for the provincial honour and cited his life long contributions to the community in the application.
Langlais was Reeve of Dilke Township for many years and was instrumental in the eventual amalgamation of municipalities to form the present day Dawson Township in 1997. He served on town council after the amalgamation until the last election.
He was also one of the organizers of Pinewood Sports Days for many years.
He also umpired district fastball and slowpitch games for years.
He also served on the Pinewood Recreation Committee for years.
