This summer the American Quarter Horse Youth Association were taking in auditions from members for the chance to be a QJ at the American Quarter Horse Association Youth World Show, which is to be held this August in Oklahoma City.
The audition sent in by Trish O’Connor of Rainy River, Ontario was selected as one of the top five videos they recieved. Now that the top five have been chosen, you the public, can vote for the person who feel should be this years QJ!
Of the top five finalists, the two contestants with the most votes will not only get to QJ this event, but they also recieve an all expenses paid trip to the Youth World Show and the opportunity to meet and mingle with the top youth riders from around the world.
A QJ is simar to a DJ (disc jockey) or a muchmusic VJ (video jockey), only instead of music and videos, a QJ will be a Quarter-horse jockey. As a QJ, the winners will be doing interviews and giving online updates of all the events happening at the Youth World Show. These updates will be posted online for public viewing at www.aqha.com.
Anyone can vote, so to view Trish’s video and show your support vote online at http://www.aqha.com/youth/activities/yws/YouthWorldQJ.html
