Mithell Haw of Stratton starts a "Summer Company"

News Release
Summer Company

At just fifteen years of age, Mitchell Haw of Stratton, Ontario hasn’t had much time to gather a wealth of precious memories. But through his fledgling business, Candoo Creations, he can help you save some of yours. Haw is taking part in the Summer Company program, which is open to students between the ages of fifteen and twenty nine who will be going back to school full time once the summer is over. By taking part in the program, students get to operate their own business and also learn from people who are already successful in the business world. Mitchell and four other students will meet with mentors, be eligible for up to $3,000 in funding, and receive valuable business training through Summer Company. Haw says he jumped at the chance to take part in the program. “It seemed like a really good opportunity, and I could do what I like doing,” explained Mitchell.
Candoo Creations offers design, printing and photo archiving services, and Haw plans to expand that list to include transferring VHS tapes to DVD and records and cassettes to CD or other digital formats. Mitchell will be entering grade ten this fall at Rainy River High School. “I’m very interested in technology and designing,” says Haw of his business venture, “I get to be creative and use my imagination, and it’s cool to see the final product that I’ve come up with.” To find out more about Mitchell’s business and all that it offers, you can view his website, HYPERLINK “http://www.candoocreations.com” www.candoocreations.com
