The Fort Frances OPP is reminding residents to LOCK IT or LOOSE IT! The OPP is encouraging residents of Fort Frances to lock up their valuables inside their homes, garages and vehicles.
The Fort Frances OPP Detachment is pleased to welcome four new employees to our Summer Experience Program. This summer, our OPP student employees will be on bicycle patrol in our community helping deliver the ‘Lock It or Loose It’ Program. The purpose of the program is to raise awareness of crime prevention and inform you about crime proofing ideas.
The OPP encourage you to become aware of the many easy ways to help crime proof yourself and your family. Take the time and the necessary steps that reduce the opportunity for crime.
Lock up your possessions
Use and maintain your exterior motion lights, light up those alleys!
Inform a neighbour to keep a watch over your property if you are leaving your residence
Most importantly, if you realize that you have been a victim of a break and enter, call the police immediately, do not touch anything and allow the police to complete an investigation. You may contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
