O.P.P.
On October 6th, 2008 culprits spray painted several municipal buildings in Rainy River including the municipal garage, the water treatment plant and the waterfront park. The vandalism depicted a picture of a ‘woman’, the word “Korn”, the numbers “4:20” and a picture of a “dragon”. Timely reports of criminal activity help police to respond promptly and increase the success of the investigation.
On September 16, 2008 Emo OPP officers investigated the report of a firearm found in the area of Hwy 71 in Claxton Township. When the case was opened, an unloaded black semi-automatic Remington 12 gauge shotgun with a sling was found.
On October 7th, 2008, Emo OPP officers investigated the report of mischief to property on Hwy 602 just west of Fort Frances. Culprits are responsible for damaging five metal gates and posts to entrances of private property on Hwy 602.
