Rainy River pair help set new track records at Baudette School
The Lake of the Woods High School girls 4X800 relay team recently set the new school record at 2min:10sec. Breaking the school record they set a week earlier at 2min 15sec.
The team consists of Jessie Marken, Heather Stanton, Emily Fraser and Saragh Fraser. Emily now also holds the LOW school record for the 1600 metre and Saragh now holds the 400 and 800 metre records.
Saragh also advanced to the State meet in the 400 metre dash to be held at Hamline University in Saint Paul, June 5th and 6th.
Saragh was also voted Most Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year for L.O.W. School for the second year in a row!
Saragh and Emily Fraser are the daughters of Jeff and Lisa Fraser of Rainy River.
The LoW Track Team is part of an international sports cooperative that has students from both Rainy River and Baudette areas competing on the same team.
