Police seeking public's help in solving a recent break and enter

(Fort Frances, ON) - OPP officers are seeking the assistance of the public concerning recent investigations of break, enter and thefts.

On July 16, 2009 a cottage owner reported to police that his cottage has been broken into and several items were missing. Police believe the break and enter to the cottage occurred between July 2nd and July 16th, 2009. Items missing from the cottage include beer, liquor and several rod with reels, assorted Canadian coins and a tackle bag with assorted plastic containers of tackle. The value of the property missing is upwards of $1000. This is the second break, enter and theft from this cabin in the past two months.

On July 17, 2009 police were called to the 400 block of First Street East. The complainant contacted police when he observed a suspicious person outside his residence on the 400 block of First Street East. The complainant was alerted when he saw the suspicious person peering into several vehicles in the area. The male was described a Caucasian male, approximately 25 years of age, wearing a dark ball cap and dark shirt.

The public is urged to contact police should they have any information pertaining to this or any other unsolved crime.
