Joe Tetreault, 74

On Saturday, November 16, 2002 at Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary, Joe Tetreault, at age 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.
Dad fought, as many have before him, a very courageous battle with cancer, but eventually slipped away to the waiting arms of his loving wife Pat who left us in February of 2000.
Joe was born on May 29, 1928 in Rainy River, ON, the second of 10 children. He is mourned and terribly missed by his daughter Nona; sons Alan, David and Marino; son-in-law Brian, granddaughter Robyn; grandsons, Aaron, Nolan (Christine), Kyle; and great-granddaughter Lilith. Also left to mourn are his brothers, Louie (Jesse), Whitey (Bernice), Tony (Flo), Blackie (Arlene), Emery, Don (Kathy); and sisters, Rose, Vicky (Ray), Adeline; nephew Alvin; sister-in-law Marie; niece Cheryl; and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Joe was a machinist by trade and a self-taught handyman extraordinair. The original Jack of all trades, He was hard-working, easy going, and always quick with a tale...tall or otherwise. He had a wry sense of humour and took great pleasure in helping his family and friends with his fix-it ability. A talented masseuse, he was a life-saver for a variety of people who were in need of his “golden touch”.
He loved to fish and the country life was one that he cherished. He also cherished his time with family and was fortunate to be able to do so in his final time with us.
Dad...your memory will be as precious to us as you were in life..we love you.
Memorial Services were held at Glen Eden Funeral Home on Saturday, November 30 at 2:00 p.m. - Reception followed.
