While the number of participants dropped again this year, the 27 participants in the 34th Annual Rainy River Open Golf Tournament had a great time.
It was not overly hot or cool and the rain held off during the tournament which was held at Oak Harbor Golf Course in Baudette this year. For the first time ever the participants golfed the old nine and the new nine at the course and those that had not golfed it were mixed on their opinions of the new nine.

Guy Crackel, who had never golfed it said that it was challenging as there is little to use to judge the distance on the holes. “There are no trees or nothing but it is new.”
Matt Morison said that he liked the new nine, particularly because his game improved from the first nine.
In the end it was Glenn Crackel winning the tournament for an unprecedented 8th time and the third year in a row! Crackel shot a 79 to win the Championship Flight. Coming in tied for second were Guy Crackel and Shane Aikenhead with 85.
