NCDS has another successful summer jobs program

It was another very successful year for students registered at NCDS.
The Summer Jobs Coordinator, Tyson Grinsell at NCDS had a very busy spring and summer, placing over 125 employees at local Businesses across the District of Rainy River.
The total Training Incentive amounts equalling more then $83,000. Tyson assisted over 200 Summer Students with Resumes and Cover Letter development. Summer Jobs Service travelled throughout the Rainy River District to various locations such as Northwest Bay First Nation to assists with workshops; also travelled to Career Fairs and Trade Shows promoting our services and assisting students to reach their employment goals.
Summer Jobs Service partnered with Service Canada Summer Students to organize a BBQ in August to promote Odd Jobs, and also handed out pop-corn and freebies at Mall Days. Tyson was gracious enough this summer to hand out NCDS Grad packs to this years High School Students, where NCDS presented a Nintendo DSi to Graduate, Jessie Brunette.
