Drivers' licence bureau moves to Service Ontario office

News Release
Ont. Govt.

Rainy River has a new location to renew driver’s licences and vehicle registrations.
Driver and vehicle services have moved from 610 Atwood Avenue to the ServiceOntario centre on 334 Fourth Street.
This office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This location will also offer routine health card services by this summer.
This means Rainy River residents will be able to renew their health card and driver’s licence in one location instead of two, saving them time and money.
ServiceOntario is making changes so that more Ontarians will be able to make one trip for health card, driver’s licence and vehicle registration services. These changes will give people access to more routine government services and better meet customer’s needs, especially in rural and northern communities like Rainy River.
Soon, nearly 95 per cent of all Ontarians will be within 10 kilometres of an integrated ServiceOntario centre.
Access to routine health card services will improve, from 27 permanent locations to almost 300 public and private issuing offices.
In northern communities, access to routine health card services will expand from 6 to 67 ServiceOntario centres.
