RRHS curlers fall short of OFSSA berths

The Rainy River High School Girls and Boys curling teams both did well at NWOSSAs two weeks ago in Thunder Bay.
They both finished regular play tied for third place. The boys were 3-2 and the girls 2-3.
But because of who beat who in round robin play the boys did not end up getting third.
The girls had to compete in a shoot-out but ended up falling short.
Girls coach Cathy Seguin said, "My girls did really well. The team that beat them won OFSSAs and another team that beat them went to OFSSAs before."
Seguin said that both teams did well and next year the girls have three players returning and the boys have two.
The overall winners were Sioux Lookout for the boys and Fort Frances for the girls. These teams advance to the All Ontarios (OFSSAs).
