LoW groups help Bergland kids to swim

The Women’s Institute and Lake of the Woods Recreation Committee recently presented a cheque for the amount of $500.00 to help the McCrosson-Tovell School with bus trips and activities.
They will be using this amount to help cover the cost of a week of swimming in Baudette.
The Recreation Committee and the Women’s Institue co-hosted a community pot-luck dinner in February and held a baking auction to raise the money for the school children’s bus trips and activities.
Ellen Chojko-Bolec, Lake of the woods Women’s Instituteand Nancy Gate, Lake of the Woods Recreation committeee presented the $500 cheque to Anne Carradice, Vice Principal of McCrosson Tovell School in Bergland with all the students and staff.
