Riverview hosts swap and shop during Education Week
News Release
For Education Week this year, the staff at Riverview School is promoting a swap and shop called. "The Trading Post." The idea behind this is that families can drop off items and also "shop" while at the school - now is the time of year when we are all cleaning our closets, and assessing what still fits for Spring and Summer.
The idea is to help those in need in our community by giving what people can. Students and families are encouraged to shop at The Trading Post - there is no charge for any items people may wish to take home with them. We encourage everyone to take as much as they need.
We will be starting on Wednesday, May 5th, and will remain open in the school building during regular school hours for anyone to access. People can continue to drop off items at the main office and they will be added to the Trading Post's selection.
Some items that are welcome (but not limited to) are:
Shoes, rain boots, snow boots, sandals (baby, child or adult)
Children's clothing - shirts, sweaters, hoodies, pants, shorts, swimsuits (boys and girls)
Adult clothing - shirts, sweaters, hoodies, pants, shorts, swimsuits (men's and women's)
Baby clothing
Jackets (children's, men's or women's)
Outdoor clothing - ski pants, jackets, mitts, hats, raincoats, umbrellas etc.
We are also accepting food items for the Food Bank. If you are able to donate any of these items; please drop them off at the office.
