New Exec. Dir. hired by Alzheimer Society

The Board of Directors of the Alzheimer’s Society for the Kenora and Rainy River
Districts is pleased and excited to announce the recent hire of Lynn Moffatt as its new Executive Director commencing May 31st. Lynn brings over eight years of experience in business, marketing and administration with extensive knowledge in developing and executing outreach programs through events, communication and marketing campaigns. Lynn holds diplomas in Business and Business Administration and Marketing, as well as a certificate in Leadership and Management.
Lynn comes to us from Red River College in Winnipeg where she held the position of Marketing Officer for the School of Continuing and Distance Education for over five years. In addition, she is familiar with Northwestern Ontario as she graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Kenora.
“I really look forward to building on the successes of the Alzheimer’s Society, and I am also excited and devoted to delivering effective services and support to those families, friends, neighbours and individuals living with Alzheimer’s and related dementia’s” she stated.

“Many of our events this spring/early summer may not proceed as per usual dates given our staffing change.....but we do hope to be back on track as quickly as possible,” said Bill Naturkach, President of Kenora/Rainy River Alzheimer Society. Usually the Walk for Memories takes place in May.
