There is so much to think about when expecting a baby. Prenatal Classes offered through the Healthy Babies Healthy Children Program at the Northwestern Health Unit cover a variety of topics such as healthy eating when pregnant, exercise, labour and what a support person can do to help. Other topics include breastfeeding, caring for mother and baby after delivery, and car seat safety. Information is also provided about supports and services available to expectant parents in the community. All who attend Prenatal Classes will receive an excellent resource book called “Healthy Beginnings” for free.
Prenatal Classes are offered at various times throughout the year in group or individual settings.
