Playoffs are way to long for me

Unless you are a die hard hockey fan you will likely find channel surfing a bit boring the next two months.
Yes the National Hockey League playoff season has started and it seems like just about everyone of the teams have made it to the playoffs (well ok about half of them).
It used to be the first rounds of the playoffs lasted five games and were over quickly. Of course in those days only the top teams in each division made it.
Now with so many teams making it and the series all going seven games it takes about two months to complete the quest for Lord Stanley’s Cup.
While I admit I have watched a bit of hockey since they started, I have not found the urge to follow my team (Go Leafs! Go!) or any other team as fanatically as I did when less teams started the playoffs. In fact I used to structure my schedule around the playoffs. Now I find myself indifferent when it comes to the first round. Maybe I will be more interested the next round.
