Recapping a busy year!

The House of Commons has risen, another session of parliament is over, and the holiday season is ahead of us. I would like to use this space to recap some of our political accomplishments and events from the past year; and what a year it was!

Plenty to be thankful for!

Children write letters to Santa. Political leaders write to Santa. Community leaders have their wish list for the jolly old elf. And with the wish list, they also have a long list of acknowledgments for the blessings that have been bestowed on the communities they represent.

Avoiding the shopping madness!

You would not know these are hard economic times if you were one of the throng shopping over the weekend!

Charles Melvin Johnson, 74
