This past Sunday marked the 50th anniversary of the Canadian Maple Leaf Flag!

Weather memories are short

Tuesday morning I heard the local radio announcer complaining about how cold it is, how cold it's going to be and how he is sick of it.
People's memories are short when it comes to the weather.

Rose Annie (Kolyser) Roe, 105

Rosie Annie (Kolyser) Roe passed away on January 22, 2015 at the age of 105 years.
Rose was predeceased by her husband Eric Roe, her parents John and Lena Kolyser and all of her siblings.

In our youngest grades, Valentine cards were really important. My grade one teacher Mrs. Benson had a big decorated box that we all put our cards in and then on Valentine’s Day she opened the box and as a postman would take the cards to each of her students. We waited in eager anticipation to see how many cards we would receive.
