Last week the Rainy River District School Board corrected an earlier statement they made regarding the busing of students to sporting or other extracurricular activities.

In loving memory of our dear mother Katherine Evelyn Stang (nee George) who passed away at the Riverside Health Care Facilities (LVGH) on October 3, 2014 at the age of 83.

Peacefully with her family by her side, Joy Bourre, age 97, of Rainy River, Ontario, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014 at LaVerendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ontario.

The leaves are falling from the trees around my home. Already one maple is bare and half the golden leaves from the birch trees now sit upon the grass. Water has been drained from my water system at the lake and a fond farewell was said to the cabin as I left by boat on Saturday.
