The committee planning Rainy Rivers 2012 Relay for life (June 22) is currently working on the last minute plans for this years event. There are 13 teams registered with 169 participants in total.

Hunter fined $40,000

A Fort Frances man has been fined $40,000 for a number of charges related to his deer hunting business.

Town looking great

The baskets are up! The planters are all planted. Thanks to the individuals who planted the flower boxes outside their homes and businesses. The fence has been started at the cemetery and is looking great. Thank you so much to those who purchased lengths of fence. We will be putting the plaques on soon. More fencing has been ordered and more will be purchased as donations come in.

NOMA Welcomes Incentive Program

The Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association welcomes the Government of Ontario announcement that it is creating an Industrial Electricity Incentive Program. Such a program has been one of the key pillars of the NOMA energy policy for a number of years.
