Some updates for all of you

For those of you who follow my column from week to week I must start off with an update or two.
Last week I mentioned I had a sick dog at home and had to take him to the vet on Sunday.
Well the poor fella did not fair well. In fact he was so sick he had to be put to sleep on my 40th birthday.
On another update, earlier this spring I asked people to bear with us as we were short staffed due to our long time employee and my aunt, Linda Johnston, taking some time off for medical reasons.
Well as most people know in Rainy River Linda has been battling with cancer. She spent many weeks back and forth from here to Winnipeg for tests and treatments.
She had a very tough week last week and is in the Rainy River Hospital.
She has been a fighter true and true and now needs all your prayers to help her. Her family also needs your prayers.
If you are wanting to send her flowers or a card she is in Room 101 at the Rainy River Hospital. Visits are good too.
We will keep you all posted as we know how much Linda is loved in Rainy River and throughout the region.
