For years many have raised concern about the ability of businesses, unions and other entities to use their financial power to influence decisions.

There was no Internet. There was no Sunday afternoon opening weekend NFL football. There was no lazy Sunday morning breakfast. There was no “Sunday Morning” television. CBC was absent from the airwaves. My cell phone became intermittent.
We were almost pulled back into the nineteenth century. Across the district, gassing up your car was almost impossible. The traffic control lights throughout the community went black. Stores that normally open on Sundays gave their staff a day off. The streets were almost deserted.
It was a day of leisure.

Can you imagine building a homemade sailboat and then traveling in it down the Mississippi and across the Gulf of Mexico to Belize?
