We have now completed one week of campaigning for a new government in Canada. During the 2006 campaign Canadians were challenged to think about our responsibilities for the environment. Jim Harris the leader of the Green Party at the time made the environment and global warming the focus of the Green Party’s platform.

The Rainy River Walleye Tournament is turning ten this year and thanks to the volunteers every year it has been a huge success.

$137,625 announced for Rainy River sewer system upgrades

THUNDER BAY, ON, Sept. 4 /CNW/ - Member of Parliament Joe Comuzzi, on behalf of the Honourable Tony Clement, Minister responsible for infrastructure programming in Ontario, today announced the Government of Canada will consider the upgrades to the sewer system in the Town of Rainy River as a priority for up to $137,625 in federal infrastructure funding.
The federal contribution would be up to one-third of total eligible costs, which are estimated at $412,875.
