I was on the Fort Frances Council when the water tower was constructed. It was completed in 1985 just when the water treatment plant was began construction. Up until that point in time a water pumping station located at Pither’s Point Park supplied the water for the community and Couchiching First Nation.

It was like getting punched in the gut last Tuesday when Susan's Corner Grocery Store burned down.

Clive and Patty Nicholls, (nee Tetu) of Spruce Grove, Alberta are happy to announce the safe arrival of their baby girl, Cara Danielle, weighing 7lbs 12 oz. on April 4, 2008. Proud and happy Grandparents are Garry and Rosemary Tetu of Rainy River, Ontario, Brian and Nadine Nicholls of Edmonton, Alberta, and Great Grandparents are Leonard and Sally Selman of Stratton, Ontario.
