Resignations long overdue

The resignations of two prominent Conservative politicians this week, Alberta Premier Alison Redford and federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty, were long overdue as the two have left a slew of economic problems for Canadians in their wake.

Gearing up for an election

We must be gearing up for a provincial election. Even with the chills of winter still storming around us, Premier Kathleen Wynne appears to have rallied her troops this past weekend to be ready to pound on doors and wear out shoe leather on the sidewalks. She pummeled the Harper Government, lambasted the provincial Tories and Tim Hudak and without naming Andrea Horvath indicated that the NDP told her attentive audience that the New Democrats were not ready to govern.
All the provincial parties are ready to get into the election ring right now.

Better tracking technology needed

Following the news on the crash of that Malaysian Boeing 777 passenger jet the past couple of weeks I was astonished to learn how unable we are to track a plane at all times once its transponder has been disabled.
Considering how well the powers that be track each and everyone of our movements daily, I was totally surprised when it was revealed that once the transponder was disabled on the plane, it virtually disappeared off the grid.
