The Herman Krahn family lost their milking parlour last Thursday to Fire. Their farm is located just east of Rainy River on Atwood #2. They lost 88 animals in the blaze as well as all their milking equipment.

This photo taken at 2:33 p.m. was just after the east wall of the barn collapsed in. A huge burst of flames shot out of the north side of the barn and the smoke plume was apparent for miles.

Herman Krahn’s beef cattle were all outside grazing, most of them moved to the north of the property as the smoke blew towards them. However, these three seemed unphased by the fire behind them and
