The fast and the furious

Living near the park has always been an enjoyable experience. It is so nice to see families playing there in the evenings and on weekends.

Some of this fits

In many ways this describes life as a small town editor to a tee. Thought I’d share it with you.

Welcome home railroaders!

It was the best news I have heard in a long time!
That was how I felt Monday afternoon when CNR confirmed that it will begin switching train crews in Rainy River this Friday.

It is always good to be reunited with family you haven’t seen for a while, but getting there should not be so hard it makes you think twice about attempting to.

It was pure hell without the fire

Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary that I am sure many people would like to forget but will never forget.

Fire dept. did a great job on this year’s fireworks display

What a way to end Railroad Daze 2002! The fireworks were awesome this year and it was sure nice to have them on Railroad Daze with so many people around.

Be sure to thank the volunteers that made Railroad Daze fun!

All aboard!!!
The 15th Annual Railroad Daze Festival is set to chug into full speed starting tomorrow!

Town slow on the draw on Friday’s flooding

Haven’t we had enough? I have and I wish there was some way to make Mother Nature realize that.

What’s buggin' you?

The town deserves credit for building the dike

I have heard an emergence of skeptics coming forth since the initial danger of flooding passed about ten days ago.
