New border initiative to have ramifications for frequent visitors

Life in a border town will soon be changing for many many people.
As reported by Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty in last week’s Record and two weeks prior, a new initiative will begin to take effect on the Canada-US border June 30, 2014.
It will now allow information on entry and exits to both countries to be shared between countries. So that will mean each government will know how long a person is in or out of their respective countries.
