Fireworks set to blast of July 1st!

By Ken Johnston
Ashley Stamler, of the Rainy River Fire Dept., told the Record Monday, "The Canada Day Fireworks will be launched, weather permitting, July 1st!"
Last week she was not 100% certain, after recent flooding engulfed Hannam Park.
However, people will not be allowed to watch them from the Government Dock for safety concerns after the dock was underwater during the flooding.
At one point it was talked about moving them to Railroad Daze, but Stamler said, "Looking ahead, it doesn't look like the conditions at the waterfront will improve much more from now to then."
