Cattle prices remain high at spring sale

Spring has truly arrived for area members of the Rainy River Cattlemen’s Association! On Saturday they held their annual Spring Feeder Sale a the Stratton Sales Barn.
While they do allow the sale of culled animals at the sale the bulk of the 1,008 head sold were feeder cattle.
RRCA member and sale worker, Kim Jo Bliss said the total sales dollars for the event was $1,750,889.73 with prices still very high. “We are seeing $2000 calves right now! It is great for selling not so when you are buying!”
