Aaron Burnett will be the featured guest at the Families Learning Together Celebration at Riverview School on January 25, 2007. Mr. Burnett is a Juno Award nominee and an outstanding children’s entertainer. He will conduct an interactive workshop for children and will have them perform alongside him during the Celebration which takes place from 4:30 - 8:00 pm.
In addition to Mr. Burnett’s musical talent, the Celebration will host a variety of workshops and displays designed to help parents understand how they can best help their children learn. Community partners will also be on hand with displays designed to inform and educate.
The Scholastic Book Fair will take place that afternoon and evening in the library and participants are welcome to browse the many titles on hand. Proceeds will be used to purchase books for the library.
A light supper, hosted by the School Council, will be held from 5:00 - 6:30 pm in the lunch room. There is no charge.
