Going a little bit squirrely

Ever felt like there are ghosts in your house?
Well last Wednesday when I arrived home for lunch I was not sure if I had a ghost or someone had broken into my house and messed it up.
It started with me noticing the jig saw puzzle I am currently working on was all scrambled up and pieces had been knocked on the floor. Instantly I went back to a year previous when my new dog at that time, Ricky Ricardo, was the jig saw scrambler. He would sit in the window on my puzzle table and mess up my progress. I wondered if it was him haunting me.
Then I noticed photos were knocked off another stand in the corner. Items were knocked off the computer and above the stove.
I then began to wonder what sort of critter I had in the house!!!!
I grabbed a flash light and headed down the basement; thinking I might find one of my neighbour's cats in the house. They are always sitting at my door wanting in, especially when it is this cold.
I heard a rustle on a shelf. It was a grey squirrel.
I proceeded to try and figure out how I was going to catch it. I grabbed a shoe box but that did not work. He ran upstairs and then up to the second story, jumping at every window he could to get out.
It took me three times up and down the basement stairs to finally get smart enough to close all the doors to the basement and upstairs rooms.
I opened the front and patio door and he ran right by them... then I took a chance and opened the side window... out he went. Man was my heart a pounding as I am sure his was.
