Grads honoured at Our Lady of the Way

Our Lady of the Way Elementary School in Stratton held its 14th annual grade 8 graduation last Monday evening.
Eleven graduates were honoured that evening in front of a crowd of about 100 people.
Following the processional and the national anthem, Father James offered an opening prayer. Then Mark Chojko-Bolec brought greetings from the Separate School Board.
Graduate Peter Sandru offered the Salutatory Address.
Guest Speaker Mary Curtis told the grads that they will face tough decisions on the road ahead and urged them to put their trust in Jesus when making them.

Most Improved-Fabian Bird
Computer Award-Dustin Mowe
Most Faithful Altar Servers-Sonya Schulzki and Jaime Vandenbrand
OLWS Award (gr. 7)-Nadine Burner and Nigel Hunter
TNCDSB Leadership Award-Sonya Schulzki
Principal's Award-Nicole Burner
OECTA Student of the Year-Sonya Schulzki
Jaime Vandenbrand gave the Valedictory Address.
Then graduates Samantha Blackburde and Lauren Hunter roasted Principal David Sharp who then roasted them back.
Diplomas and system pins were then presented.
