News Release Ont. Govt. As part of its balanced plan to build Ontario up and help people in their everyday lives, the Ontario government intends to introduce legislation that, if passed, would rebate an amount equal to the provincial portion of the HST on residential, farm and small business electricity bills as of January 1, 2017. Rural electricity ratepayers would receive additional relief and commercial, institutional and industrial ratepayers would also benefit from lower electricity costs.

Federal electoral reform is part of the Government of Canada’s commitment to strengthen Canadian democracy. Confidence and experience are Cole Tymkin’s companions on the way to what he hopes is his next full-time hockey gig. The 17-year-old Fort Frances resident, last season’s SIJHL rookie-of-the-year, is in southern Ontario right now awaiting his chance to crack the roster of the defending Memorial Cup champion London Knights of the OHL. News Release Health Canada OTTAWA, Aug. 11, 2016 /CNW/ - In response to the Federal Court of Canada’s decision in Allard v. Canada, Health Canada today announced the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR). The ACMPR will replace the Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (MMPR) as the regulations governing Canada’s medical cannabis program, and will come into force on August 24, 2016. Read more...
