Fall session starts next Monday

On Monday, September 9, the fall session at Queen’s Park will begin.
Having been recessed since mid-June, there is no shortage of issues to be raised following a busy summer.

Harper government avoids its responsibilities

This past week Stephen Harper once demonstrated that he simply lacks the courage required to be accountable to the Canadian public. Rather than face tough questions on the Senate spending scandal, Mr. Harper has instead indicated that he will be asking the Governor General to prorogue and suspend parliament for an additional 4-6 weeks on top of the usual three month summer break.

Being a sidewalk super is fun!

Since the first week of July, I have been a sidewalk superintendant. My wife likes to kid me that I have outgrown “Tonka” toys but that my enjoyment of big iron remains fast.

Many break and enters remain unsolved

The Kenora OPP was called to a report of a Break and Enter at a residence in the Valley Drive area in the City of Kenora sometime between the hours of 11:30 am and 2:45 pm on July 9, 2013 after someone had forced entry into the residence and stole several items of jewelry.
The Red Lake OPP is investigating a break and enter into a garage at 2 Pugsley Street early on July 21st 2013. The suspect fled before anything was taken.
