Spring brings a great deal of clean-up work

Spring officially began at 6:21 P.M. on Sunday March 20. We have approximately equal parts of daylight and nighttime, and daylight will continue to grow for the next three months.

Stacey Glararneau, 46

It is with great sadness that the family of Stacey Galarneau announces her sudden passing at the age of 46 years. Stacey is survived by her common-law husband Mike Desrosier, grandmother Ki Dryden, three brothers, Ward, Mark (Candace) and Robert (Kim) and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Stacey was predeceased be her parents Rose and Louis. A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 12 at the St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Edmonton, Alberta. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

Christina Elizabeth Noga, 79

Christina Elizabeth Noga passed away on March 8, 2011. The oldest child of Emmanuel and Myrtle Nelson, she was born on October 27, 1931 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Christina was the eldest of ten children. She attended school in Bergland, Ontario which was taught by her Aunt Jessie. She went back to school in her late 40’s and received a certificate of graduation while her daughter, Lillian was still in high school. As the eldest of the family, she took on many responsibilities including raising her youngest sister when their mother passed away.
