This week at home in the riding my staff and I carried out an experiment in direct democracy. On Wednesday evening we held our first ever federal townhall meeting via telephone, and my immediate impression is that it was a great success and something worth doing again in the future.

Today the Ontario Energy Board approved changes to the natural gas rates Union Gas Limited (Union) will charge its customers effective April 1, 2011.
