The Lake of the Woods Bantam Bears B team earned the right to participate in the Minnesota Hockey State Bantam B Tournament in Marshall, MN.

Savings from the uploading of the Ontario Drug Benefit Program only will be partially returned to municipalities after the Rainy River District Social Services Administration Board approved its 2011-12 budget last night.
This year, DSSAB saw its budget fall from $20,479,372 to $15,463,816—a reduction of $5,015,556, or 24.49 percent.
The majority of this reduction comes from the shifting of the Ontario Drug Benefit program to the province, with the remaining amount coming from cuts to general operating costs.

In a previous article, we looked at your heat and the enormous volume of blood it pumps around in your body. Now we are going to see where it all goes.

With the presentation of the federal budget and a motion of non-confidence tabled in the House, this was easily the most eventful week in Ottawa and in all likelihood the last week of the 40th Parliament.

It began just as “The price is Right” might have started. Instead of Bob Barker calling someone down from the audience, we had three leaders talking about what was behind door No. 1, Door No.2 and Door No. 3.

Over the weekend Canadians were told they would be going to the polls May 2, 2011.
