The column this week will be short and to the point as there is much work to be done on the forestry file.

The formal announcement was found on the front page of the Globe and Mail Saturday. Abitibi-Bowater was granted bankruptcy protection in both the District of Delaware and the province of Quebec. Bankruptcy laws in both the United States and in Canada allow companies to continue to operate while negotiating with their creditors under court supervision.

Tomorrow everyone's favourite colour should be green... and no it is not another St. Patty's day celebration.
