A slap in the face for our veterans

This week was a tough one. On Friday the Thunder Bay Veterans Affairs office closed its doors for the final time. It was an undignified slap in the face to local veterans and those across the country.

Snowbanks can be dangerous

Give a child a mountain of dirt or snow and a group of children can be amused for a month. Climbing to the top of a dirt pile the only one disappointed is the person who has to clean ground in dirt. Climbing to the top of snow piles, even when the temperature rises above freezing, the only one worried is mom who is worried about you being chilled and wet.

Why are we sports fans?

Being a sports fan is hard.
At a very young age we learn that cheering for others is part of life.
