About 100 fans turned up to cheer on the Lake of the Woods/Rainy River/Indus girls hockey team as they hosted the Fort Frances Muskies last Thursday in a rare Rainy River Arena game.

Home saved from fire

The Rainy River Fire Dept. responded to a fire call at the Corey O’Neill residence at 204 3rd St., RR, on Friday evening. A sump pump started on fire causing PVC pipe to ignite. Firemen Earl Ivall and Tim Nordin are seen extinguishing the fire.
