World class breast MRI's now available in Thunder Bay

Patients at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC) and scientists Thunder Bay Regional Research Institute (TBRRI) are now among a select few in Ontario who will have access to world-class Breast MRI technology.
The partnership between TBRRI, TBRHSC and Sentinelle Medical Incorporated, is an ideal opportunity to bring the new breast MRI to Northwestern Ontario. The technology has been purchased and Sentinelle Medical’s leading-edge Vanguard Breast MRI coil will be installed this August at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre’s Linda Buchan Centre.

To the Editor,

Keep the long form census

I am sure getting rid of the census sounded like a good idea. After all, getting rid of the mandatory requirement to fill out the long-form of the census would save us all from the prying eyes of government by eliminating an annoying and intrusive infringement on our freedom.
Well after taking a serious look at things and hearing from statisticians, economists, bankers, and many others it’s becoming obvious that the Harper government has made a mistake and should shelve their hair brained census reform plan.

Maybe more emphasis needed on ethics

BassFan reported last Thursday that allegations have been made against a professional bass angler after officials discovered heavy weights in the belly of three dead bass. The bass have been traced back to a specific angler. It is not the first time that an angler has been found guilty of cheating to win tournaments. Other sports have discovered cheaters as well.
Ben Johnson cheated using steroids to win the 100 meters. It is now known that many other track stars used similar performance enhancing drugs to succeed.
